What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a healing modality that uses controlled breathing patterns to move a person into a deep state of consciousness where emotional and physiological well-being can arise. In the semi-altered state of deep breathing, one is able to more readily bypass the conscious mind and access deeper layers of emotion, while simultaneously shifting the nervous system. 

Our breathwork guide provides skillful support so that the participant remains connected to themselves and in charge of the session at all times. This can be a transformative way to quickly move stuck energy and tap into deeply intuitive states while also staying grounded in the body. With thinking mind quieted, the breathwork experience guides a person towards an intuitive inner knowing. The Breathwork Guide is there to hold a supportive container of a safe and brave space for the healing process to unfold.

What does a session look like?

Each 60 minute session includes:

The beginning of the session is spent in preparation for the Breathing practice where you and your Guide will work to set an intention for healing.

The core experience involves you laying down on a bodywork table to be guided through specific breathing patterns with specially curated music. There is also an option for the use of essential oils and therapeutic touch to augment your experience.

After the active breathing portion, there is a quiet resting period which concludes with some time to debrief your session.
